10 ways to feel pretty on an off day

We all have “off” days now and then. The days where you don’t feel like Glen Coco and instead you’re looking like Cady Heron’s not-so-cute zombie-bride costume. Some days I just feel like my hair never does what I want, I can’t find anything to wear and nothing I do can get me out of this funk! Improving your day is easier than you think! Here are a few things that I personally do to turn my off day into a fabulous one:

1. Put on your favorite song.
Nothing kick starts my good mood than a great song. You know, that one song that makes you want to get up and dance! For me, music really has the ability to quickly lift my spirits.

2. Put some make up on.
Nothing crazy. Just wash your face and put on some foundation, blush, and mascara. If you don’t feel like doing your own makeup, stop at the makeup counter at the mall and have your makeup done for you. You’ll feel pampered in no time!

3. Wash your hair.
Personally, I’m immediately in a good mood when my hair is clean and looking good. If you have bed head, just wash your hair and start the day from scratch.

4. Go workout.
Seriously, exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people just don’t shoot their husbands. (See what I did there?) I mean, was Elle Woods right? Or was she right?

5. Treat yourself.
Whether you go and get a Mani/Pedi or splurge on a new blouse at your favorite store, or both! Treating yourself and going shopping can be very therapeutic.

6. Go get Starbucks.
Starbucks has a funny way of making a twenty-something year old woman feel some type of way. At least it does for me. I know when I have my Very Berry Hibiscus refresher, its going to be a good day.

7. Call your bestfriend / boyfriend / girlfriend and laugh.
They should always make you feel better about yourself!

8. Eat healthy and drink water.
When you eat healthy, your skin, hair, body, and mind will eventually thank you. You will feel better and have more energy.

9. Get your eyebrows/upper lip done.
Something about a lack of excessive hair on your forehead and face should really make you feel better. It always does the trick for me!

10. Smile.
Remember that every off day comes to an end. Tomorrow is an amazing gift because it gives you a fresh start to a brand new day!
